Characteristics of the Egyptian Zodiac Sign Seth: If your sign is Seth, you're constantly looking for change in the hope that it'll make you finally feel complete. You'll spend much of your youth seeking new things out and going new places. When you're older, you'll find your path. If you make any mistakes along the way, you'll quickly learn from them and won't repeat them.
No challenge is too big for you. Once you set your mind to something, you pursue it until it's accomplished. It's always the biggest, boldest goals that you set for yourself.
You don't like it when anyone or anything tries to hold you back. The word “no” is a challenge in itself, something for you to prove wrong and work around, no matter how much chaos is caused in the process.
About the god Seth: Seth was the god of chaos and the desert. He was the son of Geb and Nut, and the brother of Osiris and Isis.
In Egyptian Mythology, Seth killed his brother Osiris and scattered his body throughout Egypt. Afterwards, Seth fought an 80 year war with Horus, the son of Isis and Osiris. Seth lost the war. In some stories, Seth was then castrated and executed. In others, he became the god of thunder and lived with Ra.
Seth originally was just the god of the desert, but when his followers didn't support the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt, he was demonized. The story of how he killed Osiris was emphasized until he became an evil god.
The portrayal of Seth as evil is one of the reasons he was no longer a zodiac sign after the Greeks began ruling Egypt.
